Tiki is a money transfer service operated by Afrikmoney Ltd, trading as Tiki.

Afrikmoney Ltd is registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) as a Small Payment Institution under registration number 934600.

Tiki allows eligible customers to send money from the United Kingdom to supported destination countries through the Tiki mobile application.

Eligibility

To use Tiki, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be legally resident in a country where the service is available.
• Provide accurate and complete information.
• Complete identity verification and compliance checks.
• Use the service only for lawful purposes.

Using the Service

Tiki provides money transfer services through supported payment and payout methods. By confirming a transfer, you authorize Tiki to process the payment transaction on your behalf.

Customers are responsible for ensuring recipient information is accurate before confirming a transfer. Incorrect information may result in delays, failed transfers, or payments to the wrong recipient.

Fees and Exchange Rates

Before confirming a transfer, Tiki displays:

• Transfer amount
• Applicable fees
• Exchange rate
• Expected recipient amount
• Delivery estimate

Exchange rates may include a margin or markup. Third-party providers may apply additional charges that are outside Tiki's control.

Transfer Processing

Transfers may be delayed, suspended, cancelled, or rejected where:

• Additional verification is required
• Fraud prevention checks are being conducted
• Anti-money laundering checks are required
• Sanctions screening identifies a potential match
• Recipient information is incomplete or incorrect
• A payout partner rejects the transaction

Prohibited Activities

Tiki must not be used for:

• Fraudulent activity
• Money laundering
• Terrorist financing
• Sanctions evasion
• Illegal goods or services
• Unauthorised business activities
• Restricted financial activities

Tiki may collect and process:

• Identity information
• Contact details
• Transaction information
• Recipient information
• Financial information
• Device and technical information
• Fraud prevention and compliance information
• Customer support communications

We use personal data to:

• Provide money transfer services
• Verify customer identity
• Prevent fraud and financial crime
• Comply with legal obligations
• Improve and secure our systems
• Provide customer support

Personal information may be shared with payment processors, banking partners, identity verification providers, fraud prevention agencies, regulators, law enforcement agencies, and service providers where necessary.

Customer, verification, and transaction records may be retained for up to seven years following the end of the customer relationship in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Important Information About FSCS Protection

Tiki is not a bank.

Money transferred through Tiki is not protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).

The FSCS protects eligible deposits held with UK-authorized banks, building societies, and credit unions. Tiki does not provide deposit accounts.

Safeguarding of Customer Funds

Afrikmoney Ltd voluntarily safeguards relevant customer funds by keeping them separate from company funds or through other arrangements permitted under applicable regulations.

While safeguarding helps protect customer funds, it is not the same as FSCS protection and customers should understand that insolvency risks may still exist.

When submitting a complaint, please include:

If you are not satisfied with our final response, you may be eligible to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Money transfers can be difficult or impossible to recover once funds have been paid out.

Customers should only send money to individuals and organisations they know and trust.

Be alert to:

• Romance scams
• Investment scams
• Cryptocurrency scams
• Fake job offers
• Government impersonation scams
• Online purchase scams
• Rental scams
• Emergency payment scams

Tiki will never ask for:

• Passwords
• PINs
• One-time passcodes
• Security verification codes outside secure application authentication flows.

Customers should immediately report suspicious activity, account compromise, or suspected fraud.

Customers may request cancellation of a transfer as soon as possible after submission.

Cancellation may be possible when:

• Processing has not started
• Funds have not been released
• The recipient has not received payment
• No legal restrictions apply

Cancellation may not be possible once:

• Funds have been paid out
• A recipient bank has accepted payment
• Cash has been collected
• Legal or regulatory restrictions prevent intervention

Refunds are subject to:

• Compliance reviews
• Fraud prevention checks
• Anti-money laundering requirements
• Payment partner processing times

Refund amounts may be affected by fees, third-party charges, and exchange rate movements.
